A woman from Virginia won $100,000 from a Powerball drawing lottery ticket after nearly 12 years, and then won the same amount again with a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The Virginia Lottery reported that Sharon Godsey, a resident of Concord, contacted the lottery headquarters to claim her $100,000 prize from the Powerball drawing.

Godsey's ticket, purchased at Carson Market on Village Highway in Concord, matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball, winning her a $50,000 prize. With the additional Power Play option she selected for an extra $1, the prize was doubled to $100,000.

“I was so overwhelmed with joy when I won, I fell to the floor in disbelief,” Godsey said.

It’s worth noting that in 2013, the woman had also won $100,000 from a Sapphire Riches scratch-off ticket she purchased.
